Sue:
I love the way your book offers aromatherapy in a very easy to understand and simple to
use fashion. You offer a tremendous amount of essential oil recipes. Could you explain who
your book was written for?
 The
number one question a writer asks is: Who is my audience? We were quite clear on the fact
that we were writing to woman, typically busy, working woman, probably with families, who
were interested in making a commitment to themselves and their family members to offer a
natural solution to everyday concerns. We felt these women would have limited time, and
would want to keep an eye on their expenses, so we wanted to offer an easy-to-use format,
a path by which they could start using essential oils immediately. We limited our
selection of oils to those that have great breadth in the healing properties that they
offer.
Here are a couple of recipes

Relaxing Bath Blend
- 3 drops Chamomile
- 2 drops Geranium
- 3 drops Lavender
- 2 drops Orange
- Mix the oils into 2 ounces hazelnut oil. Use 1
teaspoon of this bath oil in the bath.
Sunburn Pain Remedy
This Sunburn Pain Remedy cools the heat and soothes the skins tendency to
itch. The skin-healing qualities of Lavender also help keep the skin moist so it
doesnt turn into that papery, peeling stuff.
- 8 drops Lavender
- 4 drops Peppermint
- 8 ounces water
- Mix the above ingredients together in a spray bottle.
The water can be any temperature that is comfortable for you.

Selecting Over-the-Counter
Products
Dr Carolle Jean-Murat, author of Menopause
Made Easy comments on selecting over-the-counter medications and
supplements and says, "There are many brands of herbal medications on the market.
Because they are classified as a food, they are not regulated. Over-the-counter herbs and
supplements lack quality control of content. There is usually a batch-to-batch
variation."
