bowman.jpg (3471 bytes)Janie Bowman is an author, online ADD support group moderator and a pet lover too!! She says, "This is Tristan (age 5), our border collie (probably 90% Border Collie and 10% genius. LOL). Also, here is my favorite of Pumpkin, our calico (age 1 1/2). She's a riot!"

Here Pumpkin is keeping a watchful eye on the mischievous and energetic Tristan.

Ice Cream for Dessert
icecream100.jpg (5664 bytes)This latest edition of "Dogs who love to eat" series, comes from Don & PJ of Rapid City South Dakota who sent in this picture of Buster. They say, "He is our 2 yr. old Bernese Mountain Dog. His favorite flavor? Ice cream. haha. ANY flavor!!! He knows, if we go through the drive thru at McDonald's for coffee........ ice cream comes out of that window at the end. We are empty nesters, so Buster is definitely our new "addiction"......"

Games People Play
Unique Alternatives to Playing Fetch on Those Dog Day Afternoons . . .
by Cynthia Gallagher
gallagher.jpg (4570 bytes)Anyone who thinks dog ownership is easier than child rearing obviously never had to entertain two energetic boxers cooped up inside on a rainy day. For a breed that loves to run and frolic, high-speed chases around the sectional sofa hold their interest only so long. Made a desperate woman by two pairs of plaintive brown eyes, I thought back to the favorite games of my own childhood. The surprising results are guaranteed to wear out even the most active dogs, rain and/or shine.
