oprah.gif (7835 bytes)Thursday September 23rd 1999 Oprah dedicated an entire show on menopause.  Her guests for the full hour are Cybill Sheperd the well known actress and women's activist, along with noted author and physician Dr. Lila Nachtigall, OB/Gyn.

women's health centerCybill has been active in bringing awareness and information to women about menopause.
This summer she has been recognized and awarded by California's UCLA's Menopause Center for her work in promoting menopause awareness.  In addition to her acting career, she has been a long standing political and women's activist.  Cybill is currently working on her autobiography Cybill Disobedience which is due out next year.

Dr. Natchigall specializes in obstetrics and gynecology.
In addition to her practice, she has done extensive research on women's hormones, particularly estrogen.  As an author of five books including Estrogen: The Facts that can Change Your Life, she is set to release a new book in the year 2000.

Thursday's, show will focus on women's menopause experiences.  Cybill will share her thoughts, ideas, and what she does to make the second half of her life better than the first.  Dr. Natchigall will offer the best way to plan your menopause journey based on your special needs.
