![]() MaryAnn's health experiences, particularly her successful battle
with breast
cancer is very compelling and courageous. Your book lays out an in depth and
concise program for good health during perimenopause and menopause. How did
you create this type of program? And what do you attribute your new found health to? Our individualized approach to managing the signs
and symptoms of menopause and midlife health came about from first hand
experience. Mary Ann's early menopause, complicated by her bi-lateral mastectomy at
30 (for pre-cancerous complications) taught us much. First, we realized how little
was known about the reality of how women experience menopause. Second, we learned
how significantly the way a woman has lived her life and the health challenges and
illness' she has undergone effects her menopausal process. Each woman's experience is unique. Any treatment should be individualized. One size will not fit all when it comes to menopause interventions. This is notable when one realizes that physicians almost universally recommend hormone replacement therapy. Mary Ann's health slowly deteriorated to the point she was always
tired and suffered from severe joint and muscle pain. The usual menopausal symptoms,
like hot flashes and a fuzzy memory, increased with the years. It was the discovery of
natural medicine interventions and removal of the silicon implants that brought health and
healing. A detoxification program designed to build immunity by improving
gastrointestinal and liver health was particularly beneficial. The powdered product
she took is designed to give the body what it needs to facilitate repair and improve
function. An organic diet that eliminated dairy foods, gluten, alcohol, citrus and
other known allergens supported the detox program. Within six weeks, her most severe
pain and fatigue were relieved. A regime of adrenal support and good quality
Vitamins and minerals contributed to her continued progress. Most women have their own story... While Mary Ann's poor health and escalation of menopausal symptoms were unique to her, most women have their own story. For example, the chemicals she is exposed to may affect a hairdresser's health. Anyone under chronic emotional or physical stress or who has used steroids for asthma or taken numerous antibiotics is likely to have poor gastrointestinal functioning. Focusing on improving basic wellness will likely lessen severity and occurrence of menopausal symptoms and reduce the need for medication or make what is taken more effective. |
