Episode 6

Last time on "Survivor: The Outback," someone got burned; literally. Mike, one of Kucha’s most valuable members, was trying to start a fire when he inhaled smoke and fainted into the fire. He jumped into water to cool off. Tribe members encouraged him to stay strong during his anguish. They all saw the brutal extent of his injuries. They were horrible looking, as millions of viewers could agree.

Mike was taken away in a helicopter, and would not return. He was unofficially kicked off the island, making each tribe equal in members. Next week, the tribes will merge. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Were you sad to see Mike leave?
Do you think he could have won if given the chance?

Episode 5

Last time on "Survivor: The Australian Outback," obnoxious Kimmi was finally kicked off! Kucha ended its winning streak in the immunity challenge. Ogakor did not have to go to tribal council, and morale is higher than ever in the group. But Kucha’s loss wasn’t totally devastating. They won a previous challenge in the episode and received goods like toothbrushes and shampoo! Now that Kimmi has made her final exit, Ogakor will probably be much stronger without her.

Do you think Kimmi deserved to get the boot?
Who should be kicked off next?

Episode 4

Last time on "Survivor: The Outback," Ogakor, on a terrible losing streak, was at tribal council. For the first time ever there was a tie between who should get kicked off next: Mitchell or Keith. Even the tie breaker couldn’t find a clear cut "winner!" So, as the rules say, the person with the most votes from previous councils gets the boot. Mitchell, who was literally pleading to get out of the outback, was sent home.

Kucha had its own drama when one of its members brutally slaughtered a pig. But everyone forgot about it when they sunk their teeth into the tender pork! The only person who didn’t feast that night, vegetarian Kimmi is also the most likely to get voted off. She’s very irritating and unhelpful in the tribe.

Do you think Kucha would be better off without Kimmi?
Who should get kicked off next?

Episode 3

This week on "Survivor," Maralyn "Mad Dog" Hershey got the boot. The retired police officer was voted off because she fumbled during an immunity challenge. She and her Ogakor teammates were chained together during a race to the finish line, and although her spirit was lively, she couldn’t make it. What was most surprising was her confidant and buddy, Tina, turned out to be a backstabber: she was the deciding vote of her leaving the outback!

Also, things heated up with Colby and Jerri. It was apparent that some major chemistry was at work.

Episode 2

joanne.jpg (13380 bytes)The second episode of "Survivor: The Outback" was a must-see. The most exciting immunity challenge had everyone dining on cow brain, worms, and bugs! Kimmi, a vegetarian, couldn’t chow down on the cow brain for personal reasons. Just when it looked like Ogakor had the win, Kucha won the immunity idle during a tiebreaker with Ogakor. Ogakor now had to kick off one of their own members. Surprisingly, Kimmi, said to be a goner, was spared. For now.

Kel, who everyone said could win "Survivor,"
was the second voted out of the outback.

Episode 1

joanne.jpg (13380 bytes)Sunday was the much-anticipated premiere of "Survivor: The Outback." Millions of viewers tuned in for another round of Survivor fever, set in the unforgiving Australian Outback. Following the Super Bowl, audiences were introduced to new contestants and immunity challenges. They watched the lean young participants find their way to camp. The two new tribes went against each other for their first immunity challenge. The Kucha tribe lost to the other team, and did not receive the immunity idol. Debb, a corrections officer, was part of the Kucha tribe. She was the first to have been voted off by her own team.

survivordebbeaton.jpg (6308 bytes)Debb was very tough and seemed to be a large threat to everyone else. If she had stayed longer, she actually might have won the cool million dollars! She seemed to have the staying power, but didn’t make the second episode.
