Buddy System
With spring coming on strong and many of you writing about how you would like to lose a few pounds, I thought I would start Buddy System. I would arrange for you to have a Buddy, a person, like yourself, in the same group you are, in to help you get the encouragement and support you need to lose weight. Together we will be using the Buddy Daily Journal Sheet, e-mails from buddies, and regular encouragement sessions.  We will have a place for weight loss tips.  I will also have a place on the FitandTrim web site for Success Stories and photos for any of you who would like me to post before and after pictures.

Do you have diabetes?
There are more than 16 million Americans who have diabetes. Americans have been getting diabetes at an alarming rate over the past 10 years, according to a new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Increases were reported among all adults, but the most dramatic increase -- a 70 percent jump -- was seen in people aged 30 to 39. This number is increasing every year. There are many people who have this life long disease and don't realize it. Each year 650,00 people are newly diagnosed with diabetes.
